Knowing from a young age that she desired a future in finance, Merry’s entire career has been dedicated to the accounting industry. She graduated from James Madison University with her accounting degree and soon realized that the monotony of private sector accounting was not for her. Coming from a military family and marrying her Navy husband innately gave Merry the flexibility and versatility in life that generated a desire for change and challenge in the workplace. She soon found herself in Florida with an opportunity to join Rosenfield and Company in 2005.
Merry provides the niche services of Estate and Trust work for the clients of Rosenfield and Company. She is most passionate about her tax work with estates and trusts because it is an area of accounting that is very unfamiliar to the majority of people, thus creating a true need in the community. Estate and trust work has afforded her the unique opportunity to use her accounting skills while, at the same time, allowing her to work with people offering compassion and support.
When Merry isn’t working hard at the office, she is spending quality time with her husband and son. They enjoy annual family trips either to the mountains to ski or to the Bahamas for the white sand and beautiful waters.
